Odisha +2 result for science stream will be released at noon today

Odisha +2 result has been released. Check here. The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha has announced the result for +2 exam, which is the class 12 equivalent exam in Odisha, around noon today. School & Mass Education Minister, Samir Ranjan Dash has announced the result highlights in a press conference at Geeta Govinda auditorium. Plus two examinations in Odisha started on March 7 and concluded on March 30. This year, plus two results have been delayed in Odisha. In 2018, +2 result for Science stream students was released on May 19. 9 colleges register zero result
Nine colleges in the state have registered zero pass percentage this year, which is the highest since 2017/ Last year none of the colleges were in the zero performance list. On the other hand, 29 colleges in the state have registered 100% pass.

The number of 90% and above scoring students has increased. Last year 41 students had secured more than 90% in +2 science exam.

Highest pass percentage recorded in Balasore district
Balasore district has regained the “best performing district” status, a year after losing it to Nayagarh. This year the district has recorded 86.56% pass. Last year the district had recorded 89.69% pass. Highest pass percentage of 92.23% was recorded in Nayagarh district.

Least performance of 36% has been registered in Gajapati district.

+2 science result: Students should save the online mark statement

Students should save a copy of the online mark statement. The print copy of the +2 science result can be used for reference only till official document is issued by the Board. Usually the Board issues the certificates immediately after the results are out. Students can collect the same from their respective schools.

None of the colleges recorded zero pass percentage last year. In matric exam this year, 82 schools have recorded zero pass percentage. On the other hand 289 schools in the state have recorded 100% pass in class 10th board exam.

Verification, supplementary exam schedule to be announced today
The Council will announce the rechecking or verification dates today. Last year the rechecking process had begun from June 4. The supplementary exam dates will also be announced today. Students have to apply separately for the supplementary exam.

41 students secured 90% and above last year
Last year, 41 students including 13 girls had secured 90% and above in +2 science exam. A total of 1570 students had secured more than 80% marks. More than 7000 students had scored more than 70%.

CHSE Odisha will release the official documents for the +2 science result soon. Last year the Council had released the mark sheet and pass certificate 9 days after the result. Students can contact their school for further information in this regard.

Nayagarh district had registered the highest pass percentage
With 92.23% pass, Nayagarh district recorded highest pass percentage among all districts. 86.42% and 88.18% pass was registered in Puri and Khordha districts, respectively. Balasore district, which was the best performing district in 2017, had registered 89.69% pass. Least pass percentage of 43% was recorded in Gajapati district.

73000 students had cleared +2 science exam last year
In 2018, a total of 96000 students took the +2 exam under the CHSE Odisha in science stream out of which 76.98% which is 73000 had cleared the exam. School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra had announced the result on May 19.

Degree admission likely to begin on June 11
As per the latest update given by the Department of Higher Education (DHE), Odisha the admission process for degree or +3 courses is likely to begin on June 11. Hence it can be said that the CHSE would release arts and commerce result before the degree admission begins. A total of 2,76,217 applications were registered for degree admissions last year. 985 colleges offer undergraduate courses across the state.

As per the data shared by the Student Academic Management System (SAMS), the admission portal for academic courses, a total of 2003 colleges in the state offer +2 courses under the CHSE Odisha and close to 4.5 lakh applicants register for these courses annually.
